Bajiang River

Bajiang River is the mother river of Shilin people with a total length of 57 kilometers. The upstream is the world-famous Shilin Geopark. The midstream passes through the county town, and national scenic spot Dadieshui is at the downstream. This is a five-in-one ecological river integrating tourism and sightseeing, urban leisure, agricultural water conservancy, urban diversion, and urban sewage disposal.

Shilin County looks brand new with Bajiang River Belt Park, forming a river linking and flowing in two town parts. In the morning and evening, quiet and gentle river banks are decorated by people who fish, cast nets, swim, and do laundry, presenting an untouched ink landscape painting. Strolling through the winding riverside paths linking pavilions and appreciating green lawns, clear water, blooming flowers, shaded trees, and cool breeze, you can't help relaxing the tension from the day and enjoying leisure and tranquility of the nature. This is exactly why Bajiang River banks have become the inevitable choice for residents to take a leisurely walk after meals. With the lights on and the sound of frogs, and there are still many people enjoying themselves under the colorful lights, unwilling to leave.

Taoyuan Lake

Taoyuan Lake is located in the middle section of Shilinzhong Rd. (next to Shilin County Court). It has pathway, east lake boating, wild fragrance scenic spot, plank road, fishing terrace, and central preach blossom island in the east and boat station, lake bank, water platform, and fire tower in the west.

Taoyuan Lake has clear water that echoes the garden. There is also a bridge named Rainbow Bridge across the lake. If we say riverbanks and golden willows are the symbol of River Cam, then Rainbow Bridge and boats are the symbol of Taoyuan Lake. At noon, young people boat in the lake and play by the water; in the evening, the elderly chat, play chess, and have tea in the willow shade. Taoyuan Lake in the sunset waves with the breeze, and colorful Rainbow Bridge has become spectacular scenery. You may wish to pause on the bridge and enjoy the pleasant scenery (next to Shilin County Court). Garden Expo

Shilin Garden Expo, also known as Pin Garden, covers an area of150 mu including 1,678 square meters for architecture, 110.11 mu for greening, 22.5 mu for water, and 17.33 mu for road and square. Inside the garden there are Yingbin Square, Hexie Square, Tianyuandifang Square and 11 scenic spots including Wave Whisper, Moonlight Platform, Dense Woods, Bamboos under Moonlight, Apricot Altar as well as 8 sub-gardens for ginkgo, bamboo, subtropical evergreen coniferous forest, evergreen broad-leaved forest, deep mountain evergreen broad-leaved forest, new varieties and domesticated varieties, and palm plants, etc.to plant 207 kinds of more than 500,000 garden ornamental plants (clusters), having greening rate of 88.3% and green coverage ratio of 90%. With the theme of “garden for better city and life”, Shilin Garden Expo shows abundant garden plant resources, diverse ethnic culture, and outstanding gardening achievements in Shilin, highlighting the characteristics in four seasons. It takes Stone Forest culture as main route and “source of life - water” as basis, and large-scale application of flowers and plants as keynote to create a harmonious living environment and highlight the essence of gardens with Yunnan style.

Wancheng Ashima Tourism Town

Wancheng Ashima Tourism Town is located opposite the County Administrative Center. The project construction inherits the essence of the architectural culture of Yi ethnic group: the most representative ancient Yi architecture, the most authentic Yi cuisine, and the most passionate Ashima toast song and dance. Shilin Wancheng Ashima Tourism Town, invested and developed by Shilin Wancheng Tourism Culture Investment Co., Ltd., is a tourism and trade project integrating  tourism service, commercial trade, leisure residence, catering, and entertainment. It mainly includes County Administrative Center Citizen Square, Ashima star resort hotel, large residential community of 300,000 square meters, Sani style business district, water landscape belt of Bajiang River, Kui Pavilion, and waterscape commercial street, etc.
