The time offering a Sacrifice to Luo is selected between ox day and ram day of lunar February. That month is considered unlucky if death happens, and sacrifice will be held until the next month.

The ritual lasts for three days. On the first day,  all villagers do the cleaning at home and in the streets, and repair village roads in the morning, Bimo chants scriptures  to expel the evil spirit and pray for safety, harvest, and prosperity of human and animals in the village at noon; on the second day, people kill a pig in the outside woods as sacrifice to Aluo, a hero in the legend, and had sacrifice activities; and on the third day, each household offers a great feast in the street to cater each other. Whether acquaintances or strangers, everyone staying at the village will be warmly invited.
